The International Research Center for Enhancing Plant Resilience addresses the critical challenge of stabilizing global food production amid unpredictable weather patterns.

Alethia Pratas da Costa Braun, a Michigan State University undergraduate student in crop and soil sciences working in the Lundquist Lab with the Plant Resilience Institute, has been awarded the prestigious American Society of Plant Biologists Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (ASPB SURF).

PRI faculty member Peter Lundquist has won a $1.5 million Faculty Early Career Development Award from the National Science Foundation. The award supports his search for “master regulators” in the stress response of plants.

PRI Faculty Member Christine Sprunger was named an Early Career Fellow of the Ecological Society of America. Dr. Sprunger is one of only ten new ESA Early Career Fellows (2024–2028) elected for advancing ecology and showing promise for continuing contributions.
