How to Acknowledge PRI

Acknowledgement of PRI Support

The Plant Resilience Institute (PRI) at Michigan State University requests that all members acknowledge PRI support in publications, presentations, and other scholarly outputs that have benefited from PRI funding, programs, or resources.

Please include an acknowledgment if your work has been supported by PRI in any of the following ways:

  • Funding and Awards: PRI Seed Grants, travel grants, or other PRI-administered funding
  • Fellowships and Personnel Support: PRI Postdoctoral Fellowships, PRI–MPS Graduate Student Fellowships, or positions funded through the PRI flagship projects
  • Infrastructure and Resources: PRI shared equipment, data, or technology

Acknowledgement Language

Authors and presenters may adapt the following standard acknowledgement:

"I/We acknowledge the Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute for [X]."

When possible, please use the Institute's full name, "Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute," rather than "PRI." Additionally, please include details about the specific type of support received and to whom, if applicable, as seen in the examples below.

Examples

Seed Grants: "This work was (partially) funded by a Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute Seed Grant to [Author Name/Initials]."

Travel Grants: "This presentation was supported by a Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute travel award to [Author Name/Initials]."

Fellowships: "[Author Name/Initials] was supported by a [Plant Resilience Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship/Plant Resilience Institute–Molecular Plant Sciences Graduate Student Fellowship] from the Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute."

Flagship Project Personnel: "[Author Name/Initials] was supported by the Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute through its [Flagship Name] project."

Infrastructure and Resources: "This work utilized [Resource Name] supported by the Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute."

When appropriate, please include the PRI logo on your poster or slideshow presentation to acknowledge PRI. Download the PRI logo in this folder, which includes various formats and colors to choose from. Please do not alter the logo.

Virtual Backgrounds
