PRI and RIKEN sign Memorandum of Understanding for collaborative research on plant resilience
The RIKEN Center for Sustainable Resource Science (CSRS) and the Michigan State University Plant Resilience Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on May 15, 2018 at Michigan State University to establish a research collaboration. The MOU will enable continued collaborations between RIKEN and MSU and facilitate education and training of new scientists in the US and Japan. Going forward, RIKEN and MSU will establish collaborative research projects and education and training workshops in areas of mutual interest in plant science research. The MOU was signed by Doug Buhler, Cheryl Sisk, and Doug Gage at MSU and CSRS Director Shinozaki. This was part of the visit by the RIKEN group to MSU in which Dr. Shinozaki presented the Anton Lang lecture.
